My husband Dylan and I made a last minute decision to spend our summer in Japan, the land of Hello Kitty! Summer is definitely my favorite season in Japan. The heat, humidity, matsuri (festivals), tanabata (fireworks), sitting by rivers are all things that make summer in Japan amazing. We'll be here for three weeks traveling and eating our way through Tokyo, Hokkaido, Osaka, Hiroshima, and Fukuoka. We'll also be camping (for our first time together) at the FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL in Niigata. Forecast shows it's going to rain all weekend there. Wish us luck...we'll need it.

Lucky you! I'm jealous! I would also like to visit Japan at least for a week, to learn about this amazing country and to it delicious japanese food, that looks absolutely amazing on the posted photos.
