53rd and 6th Chicken Rice

Shake That Boody & Oishii Eats
After Totto, Dylan and I headed over to St. Marks Place to meet up for drinks with my most favorite design/cupcake woman over at Shake That Boody! Judy is no longer making cupcakes and I'm devastated because she's moved to New York City for nursing school. How selfish of her. What about me???

I joke. I joke.

By the time we finished drinks, it was about 1am and Dylan and I were starting to get hungry again. Judy was ready to go home, but after some convincing we got her to come with us for some chicken rice on 53rd and 6th.

Chicken Rice
She must really likes us because she was a sucker to stand in this line with us.

Add the red hot sauce to your own discretion. Judy doused her chicken rice with the hot sauce and started tearing up. Poor thing.

Chicken Rice
For $6 this was a good late night meal. Nothing life-changing, but enough to make us happy before leaving NYC.

By the time we finished eating and sent Judy home, it was 2am and we had to rush back to the Hudson to catch our flight in the next couple of hours.

It's a party every night at the Hudson Hotel as you can see. Dylan and I enjoyed watching this guy's mating dance. Haha. I love strange mating dances.

ah memories. When I was in NYC visiting friends last year, we did the exact same thing...Hudson Hotel for the drinks and excellent people watching, then 56th and 6th for chicken and rice. Do all NY hosts take the LA guests to the same thing!?!?! Is there some guide book on Yelp called "What to do in NYC with your LA guests?"

Awesome NYC write ups! Cafeteria at the Hudson is pretty darn good, but you can get upscale comfort foods in L.A. ;-)

Work that camera, girl and D-man! I am loving the pictures of you guys on the blog! You two are so adorable and "hawt!" And that dancing guy, dang, he's probably from California. I run into way too many of those people over here.
