Good news for Eastsiders and Downtown dwellers...no more driving to West Hollywood for Pinkberry! Koreatown Pinkberry just opened yesterday, September 29th! Last night I got a call from Colleen Cuisine, "Jeni, you gotto head out to Ktown...Pinkberry is OPEN!" My lazy Friday night butt didn't go anywhere but to bed at 10pm. But by Saturday morning, I was ready for my long awaited Koreatown Pinkberry. I can't explain how happy I am with the K-town edition. The size and floor plan is beautiful. And I love that we can park in the building's garage (entrance is located on 6th street, west of the building).
I couldn't even see the tail end of my Pinkberry serve because my PB yogurt was overflowing with my Mango, Strawberry, Granola toppings. I wonder if they're always going to be this gracious with toppings. It doesn't matter, the location and abundance of parking will keep me coming back. Hooray for K-town Pinkberry!

whoa. i could walk there! i may need a pinkberry break later tonite. still have lots to grade. BAH!!!!
Hurray for the Koreatown Pinkberry! Now I have a Pinkberry location "on the way home" no matter which side of town I'm on. This could get dangerous =)
I always hear you LA and NYC bloggers rave about Pinkberry, and I'm wondering just what it is that I'm missing! The toppings look divine.
I went to the WeHo one for the first time today. It's so yummy!
I hope school is going well. The kiddies are kicking my butt, but I love it!
Sorry we didn't hang out Sat. Must hang out with you this week...otherwise we're just gonna have to wait til M Grill!
Colleen Cuisine...hey Yogurt Queen I am really enjoying the Ktown PB. Finally!!!
Columbus Foodie...for me, Pinkberry reminds me of my morning Bulgarian yogurt I used to eat everyday while living in Osaka. Bulgarian/Turkey/Euro yogurt tastes nothing like our Yoplait/Dannon stuff. It's tart and fresh and is a great dessert after any meal. Hope you get to try it someday! Thanks for reading!
Mary...glad you liked it! Full-day Kinder is tiring! Oh God, when will they stop asking me to use the restroom!!! I'm glad you're enjoying your first year of teaching. Make sure you EAT GOOD and have fun over the weekends. Make boundries for yourself and work...and DON'T take work home! Gambatte (good luck)!!!
Alright alright- I'll try Pinkberry! It's like you can't be an LA Food Blogger anymore unless you sing the Pinkberry theme song! Wait, is there one? I think you and Colleen should write one;).
Honestly- it does look super oishii. Any plans to open one in Pasadena??
aww, HELL yeah. i've been dying to try this place but as an eastsider, i've been kinda waiting for the k-town one to open since it's closer to my hood. mmm, what a way to cool off after going out to eat bibim naeng-myun! and with parking too? i'm SO there!
Good god! Will someone please open a PinkBerry, KiwiBerry, Fiore, GreenBerry, PolkaDotBerry, WhateverBerry in Orange County! I can't stand you L.A. peeps talking about it, enjoying it, while I sit here, yogurtless, with only Golden Spoon as an alternative.
Great pics by the way.
well, now the new gelato place on Wilshire has competition...this is walking distance from my office...thanks for the update.
TAG...hey girl. I'm glad we can talk over IM now. D has been enjoying IM times with you. We gotto meet up soon. Too bad you guys can't make it. Anyways, I'm sure you'll enjoy Pinkberry. It'll remind you of Nihon!
DG...it's perfect for your bibim naeng-myun. Maybe we can get some Pinkberry Happy Hour time someday!
Elmomonster...haha...I remember Golden Spoon from my UCI days. Daaaaang...so long ago! Anyways, Fiore should be opening up their Newport Beach..."coming soon!"
Hey Erin...I read your posting on the Gelato Place. YUM!
I just went to the WeHo Pinkberry for the first time last weekend, and yes, IT IS as good as it sounds!
Had to wait 20 mins but it was well worth it! Now I can't wait to go have korean bbq and then Pinkberry for dessert in Koreatown!
Shelley...gluttonous amounts of beef will dance perfectly with a nice delicate cup of Pinkberry yogurt. You are a SMART woman! You'll love the Ktown location...it's just too cute! Thanks for stopping by!
I just found out today that the Westwood Pinkberry is open (they opened last Tue according to the girl at the counter). It's on the NW corner of Westwood and Lindbrook next to the Subway. It's a tiny, tiny place that's kinda hidden behind a tree. Unfortunately, I couldn't have any cause I'm on this lemonade diet, but I really wanted some and it's all your fault! You make it sound so good!! It'll be one of the first things I hit up after I can start eating again. =P
Hey Jeffybean...thanks for stopping by. Glad to hear that the Westwood PB is finally open! I'm sure you are going to love it once you are off your lemonade diet. How does that work anyways? I have two weddings in the next two weeks...do I have time??? JK. Thanks for the update!
This is basically how the diet works.. http://www.therawfoodsite.com/mastercleanse.htm
There's a great forum on there that will answer pretty much any other question you have about it. It's been pretty rough for a foodie like me to be without food, but I feel great! There's also a wedding I need to go to in a four weeks, so this is helping me fit into the suit I havn't worn in a few years
Hi Jeni!
Have you heard of Yelp? My bf and I have been wanting to start a food blog, but this was the closest we could get (for now...)
here's my account.
You're such girls. You and your Pinkberry.
Jeffybean...I don't think I can do it. So tempting...but so is food. Baaah!
Mary...yea, I found Yelp when I was in SF. It's good stuff. I'm glad you're taking baby steps to blogging. I think you are ready to jump right in!
Eddie...now if Pinkberry had monkey brain toppings you'd be all up in that! I had so much fun hanging out with you guys on Friday!!! Soju Tooooooown!
jeni! i found out about the westwood one opening thanks to your blog! i got lucky with parking tonight and ordering didn't take that long but getting my actual order took 20 min! wah! didn't help that i felt uber old surrounded by the ucla kids. hehe. maybe the original weho pinkberry has a shorter line now? when do i get to hang out with you?
Landofmason...I heard the Westwood one is small. At least you have something closer to you. Dylan and I went to the Weho one last week, the line has died dramatically. Thank God.
Let's hang out soon. I can always meet up with you!!!
i finally did the pinkberry (in ktown). it was simply fantastic. so good, serious yogurt flavor going on there. but the manager or whoever was in charge was killing my sugar buzz with all his nitpicking on the customers and the workers.
i have to say though that 21 flavors in pasadena still has a wonderful place in my heart.
I can't wait to try Pinkberry next time I'm in LA. I'll never be on a Lemonade diet, so I'll be able to enjoy freely :) Thanks for the tip.
Thanks for visiting Mommycat. I'm glad you enjoyed your Pinkberry yogurt. But I feel you on the sugar buzz kill. You see the first shot I took? I took that shot standing outside of the building, but I still got yelled at for taking photos. Fortunately my camera was small (stealth) enough to take some yogurt shots inside. Anyways, stick with your shop that sits warmly in your heart, nothing will ever replace those food memories. I love Pinkberry because it's connected my yogurt infested days in Osaka.
Kelli...if you're ever in town, let me know. I'll treat you to PB if I can try some of your Amai cookies!
!!!!!!!!!!!!NEWS FLASH!!!!!!!!!!!!

I heard that Pinkberry bribed the franchisee's of the kiwiberri @ 3rd & La Cienega into purposly running the business into the ground then sell the business to Pinkberry for a large amount.. I didnt beleive it so I went by today and it looked a mess and get this the owner even told me quote " Were closed go to Pinkberry down the street it's better" I was shocked , could the rumors be true , I came to enjoy a kiwiberri yogurt because I like the distinct tangy and clean flavor of it , why would the owner of the establishment pursuade me to go to their competitor, this is confusing and if Pinkberry does business in this manner I for one woould never step inside their store.

HAHA...nice one "CoLLLeen Cuisine". For one, my friend "CoLLeen Cuisine" knows how to spell her name. And two...she's not into !!!!!!!!!!!!NEWS FLASH!!!!!!!!!!!!'s. Sorry man...I don't think you'll convince me nor my readers about your news flash. Nice try.
FRUCCI YOGURT is so much cheaper and tastier than Pinkberry.
I recommend their pina colada~! Unbelievably delicious!!!

I love Fiore. I used to like Pinkberry but now I can't go anywhere else but Fiore!
Just for your info, Pinkberry is no longer owned by a woman. It's owned by folks with lots of money trying to find the next thing to invest. Yes. Fiore is owned by Todai owner but the family, a hardworking Korean family, invented the formula.
Fiore has better nutrition facts than Pinkberry and tastes fluffier. Also does not melt as fast as Pinkberry.
